Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Behaviour & Learning Support Assistant for SEMH schools in Bristol. The role is full-time, term-time only, with a daily rate and an immediate or September start.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs. You will support emotional regulation, help pupils engage with learning, and work with teachers and pastoral teams to maintain a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people or additional needs.
• Confident, resilient and proactive in approach.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with pupils.
• Understand boundaries, routines and consistency.
• Interest in behaviour, mental health or education.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support.
• Support pupils with SEMH needs and behaviours.
• Help pupils engage with learning and routines.
• Build positive, professional relationships with pupils.
