Job summary

Thorns Collegiate Academy, part of Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust, invites applications for a SEMH Intervention Manager. This part-time role (3 days a week, term time + 3 weeks) focuses on leading targeted SEMH support to help students access learning and thrive.

You will work with the SENCo and Inclusion team to deliver interventions, monitor EHCPs, maintain records and liaise with families and external agencies to secure appropriate support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with SEMH and SEND needs.
• Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding.
• Highly organised with ability to manage a varied workload.
• Ability to partner with families and external agencies.
• Inspire, motivate and support vulnerable students.
• Passion for improving outcomes for young people.

Responsibilities

• Identify and support students with SEMH needs; plan and deliver targeted interventions.
• Oversee day-to-day running of the SEMH intervention space to ensure it is calm and responsive.
• Deliver targeted wellbeing provision and social skills development.
• Support EHCP applications and annual reviews; maintain records and track progress.
• Build relationships with families and liaise with external agencies for appropriate support.
• Work with SENCo and Inclusion team; contribute to CPD and team meetings.
