Job summary

Leeds City Council is seeking an Inclusion Advisory Team leader to provide professional and operational leadership for the SEMH area, coordinating with other SEND teams and partners to improve outcomes for children and settings.

The role requires significant SEND/SEMH experience, collaboration with health and social care, and a commitment to continuous improvement within Learning Inclusion services.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status or relevant professional qualification is essential.
• Experience leading teams and change management.
• Extensive SEND/SEMH knowledge in education settings.
• Ability to partner with health, education and social care.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational leadership for the Inclusion Advisory Team (IAT).
• Lead and develop staff within the framework of the SEN Code of Practice to raise achievement.
• Deploy staff to deliver high-quality support to children, families and settings.
• Coordinate consultation and support requests for the team.
• Contribute to service development as part of the Management Team.
