Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking an experienced qualified teacher to support schools in managing SEMH needs and promoting inclusive practices. You will advise, coach and train headteachers, SENCos and staff to implement whole-school behaviour strategies and report on progress.

The role requires strong knowledge of SEND legislation, the ability to influence practice across contexts, and a commitment to continuous improvement within a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with strong commitment to inclusion and SEMH needs.
• Knowledge of behaviour strategies and a whole-school approach to behaviour management.
• Familiarity with SEND legislation and suspensions/exclusions.
• Ability to coach and train headteachers, SENCos, teachers and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice, coaching and training to schools and staff on SEMH inclusion.
• Assess whole-school and pupil behaviour to develop strategies and programmes.
• Collaborate with specialist services and prepare written reports for schools and professionals.
