Job summary

Justteachers Ltd in Holbeach is seeking an experienced HLTA to support learners with SEMH needs and to assist teachers with delivering engaging lessons. You will help maintain a nurturing, structured environment and promote resilience, confidence and independent learning.

The role focuses on leading small groups, supporting differentiated teaching, and applying effective behaviour management strategies. Strong communication with pupils and staff is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Recent SEMH/SEND experience required.
• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver small group and whole-class learning activities in the absence of the teacher.
• Support planning and delivery of differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs.
• Provide consistent behavioural support, using positive strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging situations.
• Act as a role model, promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and mutual respect.
• Monitor and track pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff to support next steps.
• Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.
