Job summary

Pink Tile Education Ltd in Woodbridge, Suffolk, is recruiting an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support pupils with SEMH in a specialist setting. You will lead lessons in the absence of the class teacher and contribute to EHCPs and pupil progress.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years HLTA experience (or suitable experience as an Unqualified Teacher or Cover Supervisor), experience with SEMH/SEND, strong behaviour management, and a calm, resilient approach.

Qualifications

• 2+ years HLTA experience or suitable experience as an Unqualified Teacher or Cover Supervisor
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH/SEND
• Confident leading learning and managing behaviour
• Calm, resilient and adaptable
• Able to build strong relationships with young people
• Committed to safeguarding and pupil welfare

Responsibilities

• Support and lead learning across the curriculum.
• Lead lessons in the absence of the class teacher when required.
• Support pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement.
• Contribute to EHCPs, assessment and pupil progress.
• Build positive relationships and support pupils to develop confidence and independence.
