Job summary

Raleigh Education Trust is seeking a High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to lead and support a nurturing, structured curriculum for KS1 pupils whose primary needs are SEMH and who are operating at EYFS development levels.

The HLTA will support continuous provision, emotional regulation, and access to learning through play-based and experiential approaches, contributing to safeguarding and SEND compliance.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent experience.
• Training in SEMH, trauma-informed practice, or attachment-aware approaches.
• Understanding of EYFS framework and continuous provision.
• Behaviour management approaches (e.g. Team Teach, de-escalation).
• Safeguarding and child protection training.
• SEND Code of Practice awareness.
