We're working closely with a fantastic special school on the outskirts of Bath that is looking for an HLTA to join the team in providing support across the school. The school caters to a range of special needs, primarily in an SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental health) environment.

We have three candidates currently working full-time/long-term at the school, who are highly positive about their experience, feeling well-supported.

The role

The HLTA role is highly varied. Responsibilities include leading pre-planned lessons, providing classroom support as a TA, and serving as the school's all-rounder.

Due to the role's nature, it is essential that you are adaptable, proactive, confident, enthusiastic, and comfortable leading classes. Since the students' needs are SEMH, experience with challenging behaviour and special needs is crucial.
