Connex Education Partnership is seeking experienced Behaviour Mentors and Youth Workers to support students in a specialist SEMH school in Selly Oak, Birmingham. The role offers full-time, part-time and day-to-day supply options with flexible hours and a weekly pay range.

The ideal candidates will have experience managing challenging behaviour, building positive relationships, and a calm, resilient approach. DBS update service or willingness to obtain one is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsabilités

• Build positive and trusting relationships with vulnerable children and young people.
• Support students displaying challenging behaviour within a SEMH setting.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
• Act as a positive role model, mentor and source of guidance.
• Support emotional regulation, behaviour management and conflict resolution.
• Encourage positive choices, social skills and personal development.
• Help students develop confidence, resilience and essential life skills.
• Support engagement in classroom activities and learning.
• Work alongside teachers and pastoral teams to provide consistent behaviour support.
