Job summary

Connex Education is seeking an experienced SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistant to work full-time in Bristol. You will support pupils with SEND/SEMH needs, including ASC and ADHD, within a welcoming school environment.

The role involves one-to-one and small group support, collaboration with staff, and promoting positive behavior and learning outcomes for diverse learners. A Level 2/3 TA qualification or equivalent is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND/SEMH.
• Experience in a school setting.
• Level 2/Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent.
• Calm, resilient approach to behaviour management.
• Excellent communication and rapport building.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND/SEMH.
• Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and social development.
• Implement personalised learning and behaviour support strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENDCos and pastoral staff.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage independence and confidence in learning.
