Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group Ltd in Wandsworth is seeking a confident Behaviour HLTA to support pupils aged 11-16 within a specialist SEMH setting. You will work with teachers and pastoral staff to lead learning activities, deliver targeted interventions and support pupils showing challenging behaviour.

You will implement behaviour strategies, use de-escalation techniques and help pupils re-engage with education, while acting as a positive role model.

Qualifications

• HLTA - Previous experience working as a HLTA, Behaviour Mentor or Senior Teaching Assistant required.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour essential.
• Must be confident leading lessons, managing behaviour and delivering interventions.

Responsibilities

• Lead learning activities and deliver targeted interventions for pupils with SEMH.
• Provide additional support for pupils displaying challenging behaviour.
• Implement behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques to support emotional regulation.
• Lead lessons when required and act as a positive role model to re-engage pupils with education.
