Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group Ltd in Lewisham is seeking a resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 5-16 in a specialist SEMH setting, providing 1:1 and small-group support and helping pupils manage behaviour.

You will work with teachers to implement behaviour strategies, use de-escalation techniques, support emotional wellbeing, and contribute to a structured learning environment focused on positive outcomes; prior SEMH or behavioural needs experience is required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Experience in a specialist or alternative provision desirable.
• Confident with behaviour management and emotional regulation support.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils aged 5-16.
• Help pupils manage behaviour and regulate emotions.
