Job summary

Ormiston Sandwell Community Academy is seeking a dedicated HLTA to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The role focuses on helping pupils access learning while building positive relationships in a high-need environment.

The HLTA will work 37 hours per week during 39 teaching weeks, term-time plus 5 training days, in a dynamic Inclusion Support Unit. A supportive team and strong professional development are offered to help you grow.

Qualifications

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent is required.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs is essential.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEMH needs to access learning.
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
  • Monitor student behaviour and promote positive relationships.
  • Collaborate with staff to plan targeted interventions.
