Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting a Behaviour Support Assistant for a specialist alternative provision in the Sefton area. You will support pupils aged 11-16 with SEMH needs, helping them engage with learning while managing behaviours in a nurturing environment.

The role is long-term with a view to permanency for the right candidate. You will work closely with the teaching team to promote emotional wellbeing and positive outcomes across the school day.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs.
• Proven experience managing challenging behaviour in an education or care setting.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach to behaviour management.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider staff team.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to reach their full potential.
