Job summary

Queensbridge School in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Raising Achievement Assistant to join our expanding SEND team and help transform the life chances of our 900 pupils. This role focuses on targeted 1:1 and small-group support to remove barriers to learning and attendance.

You will work closely with teachers, families and external agencies to deliver interventions, promote inclusion and help pupils build confidence, resilience and positive strategies for success.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or autism is desirable.
• Ability to plan and deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions.
• Strong communication and ability to work with families and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality 1:1 and small-group interventions for pupils with SEND.
• Support pupils with SEMH needs and autism, focusing on attendance and engagement.
• Provide classroom support to promote academic and personal progress.
• Help pupils overcome emotional and behavioural barriers to learning.
• Collaborate with families, external agencies and staff to improve outcomes.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment where pupils can thrive.
• Develop skills with opportunities for classroom cover as confidence grows.
