Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group in Croydon is seeking a patient SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 5-16 in a specialist SEMH setting. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils manage emotions, improve behaviour and access learning alongside teachers and pastoral staff.

The role involves implementing behaviour strategies, promoting positive relationships and encouraging resilience to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Experience working within a SEMH school, PRU or alternative provision desirable.
• Confident supporting behaviour, emotional regulation and learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils aged 5-16 in a SEMH setting.
• Assist with implementing behaviour strategies and promote positive relationships.
• Support emotional wellbeing and help pupils access learning.
• Contribute to personalised learning and pastoral support alongside teaching staff.
