Job summary

Premiere FS Ltd – Mortgage Advice Bureau is seeking an experienced Protection Adviser to join its growing business. The role offers a self-employed contract with a financial retainer and a high-commission structure, plus the flexibility to split time between Treorchy, the Cardiff hub and home.

You will provide regulated protection advice, review client banks for opportunities and build lasting client relationships within the Mortgage Advice Bureau network.

Qualifications

• Regulated protection advisory experience.
• Hold relevant qualifications, permissions or competent adviser status.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance, critical illness and income protection.
• Self-motivated and able to manage own diary.
• Entrepreneurial and commercially focused mindset.
• Deliver high standards of customer service and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide suitable and compliant protection advice to customers.
• Conduct protection fact-finds and needs assessments.
• Advise on life insurance, critical illness and income protection products.
• Follow up referrals generated by the mortgage team.
• Review existing client bank for protection opportunities.
• Explain policy benefits, exclusions and costs clearly.
• Manage protection applications through underwriting to policy commencement.
• Liaise with insurers and customers to progress applications.
• Maintain accurate customer and compliance records.
• Develop long-term relationships generating repeat business and referrals.
• Respond promptly to inquiries (walk-in, phone, online).
• Deliver professional and customer-focused advice.
