Job summary

Comex2000uk is seeking highly skilled FTTH engineers to install and maintain telecom services on the Openreach network, serving residential and business customers. You will handle end‑to‑end tasks across Full Fibre networks, from overhead installations to internal cabling.

The role demands strong practical telecom knowledge, safety accreditations, and ability to perform hands‑on field work in varied environments. A safety‑driven, customer‑focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• NRSWA SLG and PIA accreditations are required and must be current.
• Experience with both overhead and underground PIA networks.
• Additional accreditations (A001, S8, SA051C, SA002, SA007, S7, N022, SA020, N037, K8) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interact with residential and business customers to install and maintain telecom services.
• Carry out end‑to‑end installation across Full Fibre networks.
• Conduct network build-outs by installing overhead lines and underground ducts.
• Visit customer premises to setup internal cabling and ensure services work correctly.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain clean, safe sites; complete reporting and admin in systems.

We are looking forSelf Employed FTTH (Fibre to the Home) Engineers to work on the Openreach network with both residential and business customers, handling the full installation and maintenance of telecom services. You’ll work across Full Fibre networks, delivering end-to-end solutions.

Your Role and Responsibilities

This is a comprehensive, hands‑on position where you will interact with both residential and business customers. You'll be responsible for the end‑to‑end installation and maintenance of telecommunications services, working with everything from Full Fibre networks.

Your daily tasks will include:

Network Build-outs : Install new telecom services by running overhead lines on utility poles, subducting protective ducts underground, all involving hands‑on, physical work.

Customer installations : Visit our customers’ homes or businesses to set up internal cabling and make sure their new services are working perfectly.

• Network Maintenance: Work with live network infrastructures ducts and poles

Quality & Safety: Follow strict safety procedures, and ensure all equipment is safe to use. You’ll also help restore sites, leaving every location clean and safe for our customers.

Reporting & Admin: Use our systems to record your work and keep information up to date in a timely manner.

Requirements

What We're LookingFor

• Qualifications: NRSWA SLG and PIA Accreditations are preferrable. You must have experience with both overhead and underground PIA networks. Additional accreditations such as A001, S8, SA051C, SA002, SA007, S7, N022, SA020, N037, and K008 are highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Strong practical knowledge of telecom networks, proficiency with power tools and basic IT skills for using mobile job management apps.
• Communication & Customer Care: Excellent communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers, the public, and stakeholders.
