Job summary

Comex-2000 is seeking Self Employed FTTH Engineers to work on the Openreach network, handling installation and maintenance of telecom services for residential and business customers. You will work across Full Fibre networks, delivering end-to-end solutions.

Required are NRSWASLG and PIA accreditations, with strong practical knowledge of telecom networks and basic IT skills for mobile job management apps. You must be comfortable with field-based, hands-on work and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with both overhead and underground PIA networks.
• NRSWASLG and PIA accreditations are preferable.

Responsibilities

• Install telecom services by running overhead lines and subducting ducts; perform hands-on work.
• Visit customers' homes or businesses to install and configure services.
• Maintain and repair livenetwork infrastructures including ducts and poles.
• Follow strict safety procedures and keep sites clean and safe.

About you

• Qualifications:NRSWASLG and PIA Accreditations are preferable. You must have experience withboth overhead and underground PIA networks. Additional accreditations suchas A001, S8, SA051C, SA002, SA007, S7, N022, SA020, N037, and K008 arehighly desirable.
• TechnicalSkills:Strong practical knowledge of telecom networks,proficiency with power tools and basic IT skills for using mobile jobmanagement apps.
• Communication& Customer Care:Excellent communication skills and aprofessional approach when dealing with customers, the public, andstakeholders.

What’s involved

• Network Build-outs: Install new telecomservices by running overhead lines on utility poles, subducting protectiveducts underground, all involving hands-on, physical work.
• Customer installations: Visit our customers’homes or businesses to set up internal cabling and make sure their newservices are working perfectly.
• Network Maintenance:Work with livenetwork infrastructures— ducts, and poles
• Quality & Safety:Follow strictsafety procedures, and ensure all equipment is safe to use. You’ll alsohelp restore sites, leaving every location clean and safe for ourcustomers.
• Reporting & Admin: Use our systems to record your work andkeep information up to date in a timely manner.

Payments under CIS

Tax will be deducted from your pay before you receive it, and the contractorwill pay this directly to HMRC on your behalf.
