Job summary

Comex2000uk is seeking Self Employed FTTH Engineers to install and maintain telecom services on Openreach networks, serving residential and business customers. You will handle full end-to-end fibre installations across Full Fibre networks with hands-on field work.

Required certifications must be current at application and include OH Safety, UG Safety, NRSWA SLG, PIA, and related safety/telecom codes. Strong practical telecom knowledge and good customer communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong practical knowledge of telecom networks and field installation.
• Ability to use power tools safely and perform basic IT tasks.
• Professional communication when dealing with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Network Build-outs: install telecom services overhead and underground.
• Customer installations: set up internal cabling at customers’ premises.
• Network maintenance: work on live network infrastructure and ducts/poles.
• Quality & Safety: follow safety procedures and keep sites clean.
• Reporting & Admin: document work in our systems promptly.

About you

• TechnicalSkills:Strong practical knowledge of telecom networks,proficiency with power tools and basic IT skills for using mobile jobmanagement apps.
  
• Communication& Customer Care:Excellent communication skills and aprofessional approach when dealing with customers, the public, andstakeholders.
  

What’s involved

• Network Build-outs: Install new telecomservices by running overhead lines on utility poles, subducting protectiveducts underground, all involving hands-on, physical work.
  
• Customer installations: Visit our customers’homes or businesses to set up internal cabling and make sure their newservices are working perfectly.
  
• Network Maintenance:Work with livenetwork infrastructures— ducts, and poles
  
• Quality & Safety:Follow strictsafety procedures, and ensure all equipment is safe to use. You’ll alsohelp restore sites, leaving every location clean and safe for ourcustomers.
  
• Reporting & Admin: Use our systems to record your work andkeep information up to date in a timely manner.
  

Payments under CIS:
Tax will be deducted from your pay before you receive it, and the contractorwill pay this directly to HMRC on your behalf.
