Job summary

Aberlour Child Care Trust is recruiting self-employed independent Form F assessors for its national service. Assessors write Form F assessments of prospective foster carers, meeting fostering legislation and Aberlour policy, with travel to meet carers and agencies.

Supervision is provided at key stages of each assessment, and the role offers flexibility to balance other commitments as a self-employed assessor within a supportive framework.

Qualifications

• Recognised social work qualification
• Maintained professional registration with the SSSC as a social worker
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car
• PVG Scheme check

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive Form F assessments of prospective foster carers in line with legislation, guidance and Aberlour policies and procedures
• Produce high-quality, evidence-based reports for the fostering panel within required timeframes
• Travel to meet foster carers and other agencies
