This is a key leadership role responsible for the governance, standardisation and continuous improvement of the Media capability across geographically distributed MOD sites. Operating within a matrix organisation, the Media Capability Manager will provide functional leadership for media and courseware development processes, infrastructure, quality assurance and technical governance, ensuring delivery is consistent, compliant, scalable and aligned to Defence and organisational standards. Working collaboratively with Business Partners, Team Leads and various stakeholders, the role will support both TD: Core Service delivery and customer change activity by coordinating technical media solutions and driving common ways of working across the enterprise.
Act as the functional lead for the Media capability across multiple sites, ensuring consistency across media and courseware outputs, processes, standards and quality.
Develop, maintain and continuously improve media governance, procedures, templates, quality documentation and ways of working.
Ensure media and courseware activities align with DSAT, Media QMS, contractual requirements and Defence policies.
Provide governance and assurance across the media delivery lifecycle, ensuring outputs are compliant, accessible, learner centred and fit for purpose.
Support matrix delivery teams by influencing and coordinating delivery standards across portfolios and functions.
Oversee media infrastructure and enabling services, including repositories, Media LAN services, systems and content management approaches.
Lead the media technical input into customer change requests and transformation activities, coordinating SQEP personnel to support solution development and delivery.
Collaborate with Business Partners, Team Leads and various stakeholders to support delivery, innovation and continuous improvement.
Monitor quality metrics, lessons identified and assurance activity to improve capability performance and consistency.
Support the effective use of LMS, VLE and Defence Information Systems to maximise accessibility and exploitation of learning content.
Champion Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), security and information compliance standards.
Any other duties required to support the Integrated Training Design Service.
Demonstrate leadership experience within a learning, media or courseware development environment.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of media development processes, governance, quality assurance and standardisation.
Demonstrate experience implementing and improving processes, procedures and operational ways of working across distributed teams.
