Job summary

DPD Group UK is seeking a proactive Security Supervisor to lead and manage a team of Security Officers across the East or West Midlands. You will allocate tasks, ensure safe practices, and oversee incident response while maintaining confidentiality and high standards of professionalism.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to operate under pressure, with a commitment to coaching and developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Assignment of work to Security Officers to ensure peak productivity.
• Ensure all security officers perform tasks safely and per policies.
• Complete and return all security documentation and reports accurately and on time.
• Provide incident response and management across the East or West Midlands during shifts.
• Conduct initial return-to-work meetings and relay information to the Hub Security Manager.
• Manage day-to-day operations including investigations, incidents, escalations, and staff concerns.
• Conduct training with Officers who require upskilling.
• Carry out tasks delegated by Hub Security Manager to assist with targets.

Key Responsibilities to include;

• Assignment of work to Security Officers to ensure peak productivity to support the prevention and identification of security-related incidents
• Ensure all security officers are carrying out tasks safely and in accordance with Security policies
• Ensure all security documentation, reports and paperwork is completed and returned accurately and in a timely fashion during respective shifts
• Provide incident response and management across the East or West Midlands during shifts
• Conduct initial return-to-work meetings throughout shift and relay this information to the Security Hub Manager
• Manage the day to day operation including investigations, incidents, escalations, employee concerns, staffing, employee security related questions
• Act in a professional manner at all times, and understand responsibilities will require confidentiality
• Conduct training with Officers or Operatives who require upskilling in their role
• Carry out tasks delegated by Hub Security Manager to assist with targets and success

We are looking for people who have the proven ability to lead and motivate a team of people in the Security department;

• Work in close partnership with colleagues and members of the security management team to support the implementation of the business security strategy
