Job summary

Wilson James is seeking a Team Leader to supervise the shift, uphold the client's security requirements, and maintain a professional corporate image by following directions from the security management team.

You will lead the security operation on site and out-of-hours in the absence of the Security Manager, conduct welfare checks, deliver training, and stay vigilant to minimise risks with prompt reporting to the Supervisor/Manager.

Qualifications

• Previous Team Leader experience preferred.
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work the shift pattern and stay vigilant during duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team during working hours per Security Manager protocols.
• Lead security operations during OOH and in the absence of the Security Manager.
• Conduct regular welfare checks.
• Deliver training as directed by the Security Manager
• Maintain a polite, courteous, and friendly manner towards the public, the client, and colleagues.
• Investigate fire alarm indicators and report as per site procedure.
• Ensure compliance with vetting checks conducted every three years.

Hours: 4 on, 4 off – 07.00am-19.00pm-19.00pm-07.00am

Pay: £17.00 per hour

As a Team Leader you will will lead their shift team whilst maintaining the client's security requirements, upholding a strong corporate image, and maintaining high standards of professionalism by following directions from the security management team.

About The Role

• Be responsible for team supervision during working hours, implementing protocols laid out by the Security Manager and the business.
• Lead the security operation OOH and in the absence of the Security Manager.
• Conduct regular team welfare checks.
• Deliver training as directed by the Security Manager
• Maintain a polite, courteous, and friendly manner towards the public, the client, and colleagues.
• Remain alert and vigilant to activity on the site to ensure risks are minimised through prompt action and reporting to the Supervisor/Manager; If the emergency is perceived as an emergency, alert the police.
• Investigate fire alarm indicators in the buildings and respond as per site procedure.
• What we are looking for:
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work the shift pattern.
• Demonstrated ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.
• Reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability.
• Have the ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary
• Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.
• Previous Team Leader experience would be preferential.

• Please note that, successful candidates will be required to undergo periodic vetting checks during their employment. This is not a full vetting process, but a routine credit and directorship check and carried out every three years to ensure ongoing compliance with our security standards.
