Job summary

New Appointments Group is seeking a Security Team Leader for a full-time, permanent role in Sandwich. The salary is £29,084.79 basic plus shift allowance (£3,635.52) totalling £32,720.31 with overtime potential.

The role requires 24/7 shift coverage, CCTV and access control expertise, and a valid SIA licence. The successful candidate will supervise Security Officers, coordinate patrols, liaise with emergency services and deliver high standards of customer service.

Qualifications

• Team leader or supervisory experience in security is essential.
• A valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) licence is essential; CCTV licence desirable.
• A full, clean UK driving licence is required.
• Experience using CCTV, access control and alarm systems.
• Strong communication, organisation and IT skills.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 shift rota, including nights, weekends and bank holidays.

• Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining professional security standards.

Person Specification

• Team Leader or supervisory experience within the security industry is essential.
• A valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) Licence is essential; Certification in Control Room Supervision (BTEC L3) and CCTV licence are desirable.
• A full, clean manual UK driving licence.
• Experience using CCTV, access control and alarm systems.
• Strong communication, organisation and IT skills.
• A calm, professional approach and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Flexibility to work a 24/7 shift rota, including nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.
