Job summary

EA-RS Group Ltd is seeking a Security Systems Service Engineer in London to service, maintain and repair intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems. You will help ensure critical infrastructure remains compliant and fully operational.

You will fault-find, communicate findings to clients, and work with the admin team to schedule follow-up actions, while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing and maintaining security systems and devices.
• Knowledge of intruder alarm brands (Galaxy, Menvier, Pyronix) preferred.
• Experience with CCTV systems and access control is essential.
• Ability to diagnose faults and implement timely repairs.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, fault-find and repair electronic security systems.
• Communicate outcomes clearly to customers during visits.
• Coordinate with admin to ensure timely follow-up visits.
• Ensure all works comply with NSI/SSAIB standards and regulations.

About the Role

The purpose of the Security Systems Service Engineer role is to service, maintain, fault find and repair electronic security systems to ensure they operate reliably. These engineers protect lives and property by keeping critical infrastructure- such as intruder alarms, CCTV, access controls, and door entry- fully operational and compliant with industry standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Servicing of planned maintenance, Reactive & Remedial Calls across the customer base in line with the current British Standards and current legislation.
• Effectively communicate with the customer and the details of their Service / Fault / Remedial visit advising of the outcome and any additional works required
• Work closely with the admin team to make sure jobs are attended to and any further visits/actions are communicated correctly
• Certifying that all works comply with regulatory and insurance requirements (e.g., NSI or SSAIB standards)

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience within Security systems engineering industry
• Extensive Intruder system knowledge (Galaxy, Menvier, Pyronix)
• Door entry & Access control knowledge
• CCTV knowledge both analogue & IP
• Extensive experience of Delivering Service Related Activities (Maintenance, Call Outs & Remedial Works across Fire, Security & associated disciplines.
• A systematic approach to solving complex problems.
• Highly effective verbal/written communication.
• Ability to work well on your own or as part of a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence
