Job summary

Pertemps Redditch Industrial is seeking an experienced Security Systems Engineer for a field-based role covering the West Midlands. You will install, service and maintain Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control across customer sites, ensuring compliance and high service standards.

The role requires strong fault-finding skills, IP networking knowledge, and a self-motivated, customer-focused approach with a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing, servicing and maintaining security systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Intruder Alarm, CCTV and Access Control systems.
• Good understanding of IP networking and CCTV technologies.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of relevant British Standards and industry regulations.
• Emergency First Aid at Work certification desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, reliable and self-motivated approach.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to carry out pre-planned service, maintenance and installation visits.
• Install, commission and test Intruder Alarm, CCTV and Access Control systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs across a wide range of security systems.
• Work on both IP and analogue CCTV platforms.
• Conduct system inspections and provide recommendations where improvements or upgrades may be beneficial.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with industry standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding completed works and any required remedial actions.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation where required.
• Manage and maintain company-issued tools, equipment and vehicle stock.
• Stay current with industry developments, technologies and regulatory requirements.
• Attend training sessions and technical development courses when required.
• Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota on a rotational basis.

Location: Worcester (Field-based role covering the Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Coventry, Birmingham and surrounding areas)

Salary: up to 35,000

We are recruiting for an experienced Security Systems Engineer to join a well-established and growing security solutions provider.

This is a field-based position covering customer sites across the West Midlands region, delivering installation, servicing, maintenance and commissioning of a variety of security systems within commercial, industrial and selected residential environments.

The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge across Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control systems, along with the ability to provide excellent customer service while working independently in the field.
