Job summary

Premier Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to service and install a range of security systems across Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas. You will fault-find, commission new equipment, and perform routine maintenance for commercial clients with systems including access control, intruder alarms, and IP-based security.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in the electronic security industry.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels and a flexible approach to working hours.
• Methodical fault finding and repair experience; customer-facing on-site roles.
• ECS/CSCS, IPAF or PASMA qualifications and recognised security, electrical and fire alarm qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Install new security systems and upgrade existing ones.
• Carry out routine preventative maintenance and fault diagnostics.
• Commission and configure equipment, test completed works, and complete on-site documentation.
• Liaise professionally with customers and site contacts and manage jobs from arrival to completion.

Field Service Engineer - Security Systems

to c£45,000 neg dep exp + generous benefits + vehicle

Our client has been established for almost a decade and specialise in the provision of a range of solutions allied to the commercial security industry. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated Field Service Engineer - Security Systems to complement their professional team.

The role will involve a varied mix of installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and fault finding across a wide range of electronic security systems, with the majority of commercial and industrial clients located throughout Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Preston and surrounding areas. Committed to providing the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction, the successful Field Service Engineer candidate will work across a broad range of systems that will include (but not be limited to):

• Access Control
• Intruder Alarms
• Automated Gates and Traffic Barriers
• Intercom and Door Entry Systems
• ANPR Systems
• IP Networks and associated security infrastructure
• Integrated Security Systems

As a Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for installing new security systems and system upgrades, carrying out routine preventative maintenance and diagnosing and repairing faults. You will Commission new and existing systems including Programming and configuring equipment, and carry out system modifications and additions as required. Other duties will include testing completed works and ensuring systems are operating correctly, completing accurate job records and service documentation and identifying additional faults, recommendations or remedial works while on site, communicating professionally with customers, site contacts and other contractors at all times and taking responsibility for allocated jobs from arrival through to completion, and ensuring installations are completed neatly and to a high standard.

It is envisaged the successful Field Service Engineer candidate will have at least three years' experience within the electronic security industry and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills at all levels, a flexible approach to working hours and a methodical approach to fault find and repair, with experience of Dahua, Honeywell, Paxton, SALTO, AXIS and Hanwha systems proving distinctly advantageous. You will essentially hold a full UK driving licence and realistically hold ECS / CSCS, IPAF or PASMA qualifications along with recognised Security industry, electrical and Fire alarm qualifications.
