Job summary

Quartzelec seeks a Security Systems Engineer to join the Wrexham LV Team. This field-based role is based at Filton, Bristol, with duties covering Brize Norton and London.

You will install, maintain, and commission a range of electronic security systems while delivering high standards of service and customer satisfaction. Successful candidates will have experience across security systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and commission electronic security systems.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Diagnose faults and perform corrective maintenance and repairs.
• Respond to emergency call-outs and participate in standby rota.
• Undertake fault finding, testing and remedial works.

Job description

We are looking for a Security Systems Engineer to join our Wrexham LV Team, This is a field-based position with a primary site base in Filton, Bristol, supporting key client locations including Brize Norton and London.

Reporting to a Contract Manager, you will play a key role in the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of a range of electronic security systems, ensuring high levels of service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, servicing, and commissioning of Electronic Security Systems
• Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Diagnosing faults and completing corrective maintenance and repairs
• Responding to emergency call-outs and participating in standby rota
• Undertaking fault finding, testing, and remedial works

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience and strong technical knowledge across a range of security systems, including:

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Due to the nature of our work, all successful applicants must be able to pass:

• BS7858:2019 security screening
• Enhanced DBS check
