Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Security Supervisor to oversee daily security operations on-site. You will coordinate the security team, liaise with clients, and conduct risk assessments to prevent threats.

The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in security, strong leadership, and exceptional communication. A pro-active, reliable individual who adheres to health and safety standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the security team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Act as a point of contact for clients and management on security matters.
• Conduct regular security assessments and risk analyses to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Escalate incidents per the defined incident process and maintain accurate records.
• Oversee security systems including CCTV, fire alarms, PA, VMS, Intruder/ Panic alarms, ANPR, radio, and phones.
• Implement emergency procedures in line with the Incident and Emergency Plan.
• Conduct regular patrols to secure the premises.
• Provide training and guidance to security personnel.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
• Address operational issues promptly and implement effective solutions.

About The Role

As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the security team to ensure the safety and security of the site. Reporting to the Security Manager, you will coordinate security measures, supervise security personnel, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the security team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
• Act as a point of contact for clients and management regarding security matters
• Conduct regular security assessments and risk analyses to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
• Ensure the correct escalation of incidents in line with the incident escalation process, maintaining accurate records
• Oversee the operation of security systems, including CCTV, fire alarms, PA systems, VMS, Intruder/Panic Alarms, BMS, ANPR, radio, and phone systems
• Implement emergency procedures in accordance with the Incident and Emergency Plan
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the security of the premises
• Provide training and guidance to security personnel, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive security coverage
• Address any operational issues or challenges promptly, finding effective solutions to maintain smooth operations

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria

• You must have the right to work in the UK
• Experience in a supervisory role within the security industry
• SIA – Security Supervisor License preferred
• Strong leadership and people management skillsExcellent problem-solving abilities
