Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a security officer to manage gatehouse and site security on a 4 on 4 off shift (6am–6pm or 6pm–6am). You will record visitors and contractors, monitor CCTV, and patrol the site while upholding health and safety policies and professional standards.

Candidates must have SIA licence, right to work in the UK, and be computer literate with strong interpersonal skills and present a professional appearance at all times.

Qualifications

• Security and gatehouse experience essential.
• SIA licensed essential.
• Computer literate and able to interact with all levels of staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Record vehicles, visitors and contractors and maintain site logs.
• Monitor site CCTV and respond to alerts and alarms.
• Conduct regular site patrols and inspections as perInstructions.
• Maintain a professional security presence across the site.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and plans.

About The Role

Days of Working: 4 on 4 off days and nights 6am to 6pm, 6pm to 6am

Key Responsibilities

• Recording of vehicles, visitors and contractors as well as all site activities maintaining accurate records and a site daily occurrence record
• Monitor site visually and via CCTV and be fully conversant with the CCTV and site electronic security systems responding to alerts and alarms as required
• Completing regular site patrols and inspections of client’s premises in accordance with the assignment Instructions
• To show a professional security presence throughout the site
• To fulfil health and safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the company’s Health & Safety policy and Health & Safety Management plans

Ideal Candidate

• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
• Security and gatehouse experience is essential
• You will be required to undergo screening and vetting (BS7858)
• SIA licensed essential
• Computer literate
• Able to interact at all levels from visitors to senior management.
• High standards of personal presentation
