The Hippodrome Casino, Ltd. in London is seeking an experienced Security Supervisor to lead our security team and protect people, assets and licences.

You will oversee day-to-day security operations, ensuring compliance with legislation and company procedures while upholding exceptional service standards. Key responsibilities include coaching officers, monitoring premises, coordinating emergencies and investigations, and maintaining clear records for senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory security role, ideally in hospitality, leisure, gaming or customer-facing environments.
• Proven leadership and people management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm under pressure with sound decision-making.
• Experience handling incidents and investigations.
• Strong customer service understanding.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and bank holidays.
• Valid SIA licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and supervise the Security Team to high standards.
• Provide coaching and development support to Security Officers.
• Monitor and patrol premises to maintain safety.
• Prevent loss, theft, damage and misconduct with proactive security.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve issues professionally.
• Ensure compliance with Gambling Act 2005, Licensing Act 2003 and policies.
• Coordinate emergency responses as needed.
• Investigate security incidents or staff/customer issues.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with senior management.
• Collaborate with operational managers to support business objectives.
• Promote safety, integrity and accountability throughout the team.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Security Supervisor to lead our security team and play a key role in protecting our people, customers, assets, and licences.

As Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the security team, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, company policies, and operating procedures. You will support the Security & Surveillance Management team in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment while safeguarding the business and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.

Hours: Average 42 hours per week, working a rota covering 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and supervise the Security Team, ensuring high standards of performance and professionalism.
• Provide coaching, training, and development support to Security Officers.
• Monitor and patrol the premises to maintain a safe environment for customers and employees.
• Minimise opportunities for loss, theft, damage, and unacceptable conduct through proactive security measures.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and professionally resolve customer and staff issues.
• Ensure compliance with the Gambling Act 2005, Licensing Act 2003, company policies, and operational procedures.
• Manage and coordinate emergency responses.
• Conduct or support investigations into security incidents, employee misconduct, or customer-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records and clear communication with senior management.
• Support wider business objectives by collaborating with operational managers and departments.
• Promote a culture of safety, integrity, and accountability throughout the team.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a supervisory security role, ideally within hospitality, leisure, gaming, entertainment, or a customer-facing environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Experience handling incidents, investigations, and conflict resolution.
• Strong understanding of customer service principles.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
• Valid SIA licence.

Desirable

• First Aid qualification.
• Experience within a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of security technologies, access control systems, CCTV, and incident management procedures.
• Understanding of relevant UK licensing and gambling legislation
