Job summary

ICTS is seeking an ad hoc Security Professional in the Belfast area to cover annual leave and absences. The role involves access control for buildings and car parks, patrolling, responding to requests, and maintaining security systems. You will need SIA licenses, strong communication skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure.

Hours vary with shifts often around 12 hours, including weekends. Full training and PPE are provided, with employee benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Manage access control for buildings and car parks – for employees, visitors and contractors
• Patrol the buildings, car parks and grounds to deter and detect problems
• Respond to customer requests and queries
• Check and challenge ID passes with a professional and friendly approach
• Deactivate and activate alarms, and unlock/lock buildings, rooms, external barriers and gates to ensure that no unauthorised personnel or hazards are on site
• Identify and report Health & Safety issues and carry out first aid if necessary
• Maintain records including incident reports using computer- and paper-based systems
• Present a suitable image to uphold the Clients prestige by always dealing professionally with people
• Respond to requests for assistance
• Stand behind barriers visually verifying authorised identity of staff entering the premises
• Be thoroughly conversant with telephone, alarm, IT systems, firefighting, CCTV and any other systems used
• Have a comprehensive working knowledge of assignment instructions with amendments
• Detect and prevent occurrences that may lead to loss by fire, flood, theft or crime
• Detect and prevent situations that may lead to accident or injury and report promptly
