Compass Group UK at Whiston & St Helens Hospitals seeks a Security & Risk Manager to lead a 40+ person security team and oversee security, car parking and risk across a 1,000-bed hospital.

You will work with NHS stakeholders and senior leaders to ensure safety, regulatory compliance (NHS, CQC, SIA, GDPR) and resilient incident response, driving continuous improvement and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within healthcare security.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, compliance, and incident handling.
• Confident communicator able to influence at senior stakeholder level.
• Experience managing large teams in fast-paced, high-pressure settings.
• SIA licence essential (CCTV desirable).
• Experience with CCTV, access control, and emergency response.

Are you an experienced security leader ready to take ownership of a large-scale, complex healthcare environment?

We are looking for a Security & Risk Manager to lead an established Medirest Healthcare Security, Car Parking and Risk function, playing a critical role in protecting patients, staff, visitors, and hospital operations.

The Opportunity

You will lead and develop a team of 40+ security professionals, overseeing all aspects of security, car parking operations, and risk management across a busy acute hospital setting. This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with NHS stakeholders, police, and senior leaders, ensuring safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
