Job description

Join us as a key player in our Security Operations team, where you'll lead the development of a comprehensive framework for Security Operations and Technology compliance reporting.

This role is crucial in meeting Bertelsmann’s (our parent company) compliance standards and enhancing our Technology Operations through strategic exception reporting. As the subject matter expert, you'll provide insights to senior leaders, offering an opportunity to drive innovation and make a significant impact at Penguin Books.

Key responsibilities:
  • Understand and document security operations and compliance reporting requirements, securing stakeholder agreement.
  • Develop reports and processes, utilizing automation and tools for efficiency.
  • Create reporting structures providing metrics, compliance status, intelligence, and commentary.
  • Collaborate with Security Operations, Technology Operations, and senior leadership to meet information needs.
  • Establish escalation triggers and processes for compliance and anomaly handling.
What you will bring:
  • Proven experience in Information Security or Cyber Security, with the ability to contextualize reporting requirements.
  • Strong Business Analyst skills for stakeholder engagement, process building, and data interpretation.
  • Knowledge of security compliance frameworks for accurate reporting.
  • Familiarity with Cyber Security tools for data reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
  • Ability to influence and persuade diverse stakeholders.
  • An automation-focused mindset to minimize manual effort and maximize value.

Salary and benefits

£65,000 - £70,000 depending on skills and experience, plus bonus and benefits.
