Job summary

Savills Nottingham is seeking a Security Officer for Victoria Centre. You will patrol, deter unauthorised access, and act as an ambassador for the centre and our business. You will deliver excellent customer service, liaise with the Security Team Leader, and follow health and safety obligations.

You may assist with fire alarm testing and operate CCTV as licensed. This role requires strong communication, a neat appearance, and an SIA licence; hours are 40 per week on a rolling rota, including

Qualifications

• Must have clear communication skills both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service attitude and professional appearance.
• Proactive team player who works well with others.
• Hold a valid SIA licence and a first aid qualification.
• Desirable CCTV licence or certificated security training.

Responsibilities

• Proactively patrol the complex to ensure security and safety.
• Carry out duties per Assignment Instructions and deliver customer service.
• Deter unauthorised access and liaise with Security Team Leader regularly.
• Follow Health & Safety obligations for self and colleagues.
• Keep access routes clear; manage unauthorised vehicles or obstructions.
• Assist with fire alarm testing and know fire alarm procedures.
• Ensure only authorised personnel access service areas.
• Operate on-site CCTV equipment as licensed when required.
