Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Bidvest Noonan for a Retail Security Officer, who will work at one of our client’s well-known sites. This position will report directly into the Regional Manager. You must be able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and excellent customer service to both our clients and service users.

We require Officers to be SIA licensed

Key Responsibilities of the Security Officer:

• Act as a visual deterrent in store
• Liaising with Police and other emergency services
• Report / incident writing
• Conducting internal patrols
• Ensure all training from the client and Bidvest Noonan are completed and adhered to while on duty
• Frequently liaising with store management to discuss store inventory results, high loss products, and findings during patrols to reduce theft
• Meeting and greeting customers professionally and friendly
• De-escalate situations when necessary
• Report all incidents via the client-specific link

Key Requirements of the Security Officer:

• Strong communication skills
• Smart appearance and in company uniform at all times
• Ability to work independently in a productive manner
• Handle conflict situations professionally
• Complete all necessary paperwork daily
• Liaise with store management regarding patrol findings and criminal activities in a timely manner
