Job description

VANRATH are assisting with the recruitment of a Health & Safety Individual for a major company that specializes in Manufacturing.

This is a Full-time position.

Permanent position - Monday - Friday - Position of work is Antrim.

Salary: Negotiable + Growth Opportunities + Fantastic Benefits package

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and review of health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Support the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, and assist in the preparation of reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Help maintain and update health and safety records, including incident logs, training records, and safety data sheets.
  • Assist in the delivery of health and safety training sessions to employees, including inductions for new staff.
  • Support the monitoring of health and safety performance, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe manner.
  • Assist in the identification of potential hazards and the development of strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Stay up to date with current health and safety legislation and best practices to ensure the company remains compliant.
  • Ensure that all SOPs are up to date and ready for inspection by Site Management, internal and external auditors.
  • Provide assistance to the Training Officer to ensure all training matrices are up to date.

The Ideal Person:

  • Either Health & Safety experience or Health & Safety Graduate
