Job summary

Ward Security is seeking an experienced Security Officer for a prominent Birmingham facility. You will perform ID checks, respond to emergencies, and provide information to staff and visitors while maintaining a professional environment.

The role requires a valid SIA licence and CCTV qualification, with at least 2 years in security. Excellent customer service and presentation are essential, as you will interact with diverse personnel on a 4 on 4 off 12-hour shift pattern at the Birmingham site.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence required.
• CCTV licence required.
• Proven work experience as a Security Officer (min 2 years).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as information centre for staff and visitors.
• Guard access points and manage entry permissions.
• Conduct foot patrols to deter unauthorized activity.
• Investigate incidents and apply company policy actions lawfully.
• Complete daily reports with observations and footage.
• Communicate effectively across all levels via voice, written, and radios.
