Job summary

Ward Security is seeking an experienced Front of House Security Officer for a prestigious Birmingham landmark. You will be the first point of contact for tenants and visitors, delivering a first‑class security and customer service experience.

The role requires an SIA licence, corporate security experience, and a strong ability to communicate clearly. You will work nights and weekends, earning £15.00 per hour and maintaining a highly professional presence in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence required.
• Experience in a corporate security environment preferred.
• 5-year checkable employment history is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and de‑escalate situations.
• Proven ability to produce clear, concise incident reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, welcoming and highly visible security presence throughout the building.
• Act as a key point of contact for tenants, visitors, contractors and staff.
• Deliver exceptional customer service at every interaction.
• Build positive and professional relationships with tenants and building users.
• Handle complaints, concerns and challenging conversations calmly and professionally.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies and incidents.
• Carry out ID and access-control checks in line with site procedures.
• Maintain a consistently professional appearance and demeanour.
