Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Security Officer for an immediate contract role at Stephenson Campus in Loughborough. The role requires a valid SIA licence and a focus on delivering professional customer service while maintaining a safe environment for students and staff.

Are you an experienced Security Officer looking for your next immediately available contract role, working within a well-established education setting? Do you hold a valid SIA licence and have experience maintaining a safe and secure environment, providing excellent customer service and dealing confidently with challenging situations? You'll support the college at Stephenson Campus, helping to maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. The role will involve a strong focus on customer service, security procedures and effective de-escalation when dealing with incidents or challenging behaviour. This role would suit someone with previous security experience who is looking for a short-term contract within an established education environment.

The Role:

• Maintain a safe and secure environment across Stephenson Campus
• Provide professional and approachable customer service to students, staff and visitors
• Monitor the site and respond appropriately to security incidents
• Use effective de-escalation techniques when dealing with challenging situations
• Support the implementation of security procedures within an education setting
• Liaise with college staff and other relevant personnel when required
• Full-time position for an initial 1-3 month contract

The Person:

• Hold a valid SIA Security Licence
• Previous experience working as a Security Officer, Security Guard or in a similar security role
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Confident using de-escalation techniques and managing challenging situations
• An understanding of security within an education setting is desirable
• Professional, reliable and able to remain calm under pressure
• Able to work effectively as part of a wider team
• Available to work full-time for the duration of the contract
