Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Security Officer for Stephenson Campus in Loughborough on-site. The role is a full-time 37-hour week contract, paying £15-£20 per hour inside IR35.

You will ensure a safe campus environment, deliver excellent customer service, and de-escalate incidents with trained security procedures. An SIA licence and previous security experience are essential, with education sector experience preferred.

Qualifications

• SIA Security Licence required.
• Experience as Security Officer or similar security role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Confident using de-escalation techniques and managing challenging situations.
• Experience in education setting is desirable.
• Professional, reliable and able to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment across Stephenson Campus.
• Provide professional and approachable customer service to students, staff and visitors.
• Monitor the site and respond appropriately to security incidents.
• Use effective de-escalation techniques when dealing with challenging situations.
• Support the implementation of security procedures within an education setting.
• Liaise with college staff and other relevant personnel when required.
• Full-time position for an initial 1-3 month contract.
