Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking dedicated security officers to join the Estates and Facilities Security team. You will respond to incidents across LTHT sites, help keep staff, patients and visitors safe, and ensure doors and gates are secured.

The role requires holding a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence, calm, professional conduct, and flexibility to work across multiple sites. You will also assist in fire response and conflict resolution, with opportunities to develop new skills

Qualifications

• A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
• Commitment to protecting staff, patients, visitors and Trust property.
• Calm, professional approach to managing conflict and helping resolve disputes.
• Ability to provide a reassuring presence and support staff during incidents.
• Willingness to work across different Trust sites as part of our Security team.
• Ability to carry out locking and unlocking duties, keeping departments and facilities secure.
• Readiness to respond to fire calls and security incidents.
• Must be able to meet the demands of a physical role, including wearing body armour.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security and traffic management across Trust sites as required.
• Respond to incidents and provide a reassuring presence for staff, patients and visitors.
• Locking and unlocking duties to keep departments secure.
• Respond to fire calls and security incidents as part of daily duties.
• Adapt to changing duties across different sites and shifts.
• Utilise LTHT IT systems to complete tasks as needed.
