Job summary

Anchor Group Services is seeking a Security Officer to join our security team at Shotton Paper Mill. This zero hours contract offers a 4 on 4 off pattern with an average of 42 hours per week, including days and nights. The role involves access control, patrols, incident response, and a professional presence for visitors and employees.

A valid SIA licence (DS/SG) and a UK driving licence are essential, with CSCS and CCTV knowledge desirable. We provide training and benefits via the Anchor Academy.

Qualifications

• Full 5-year employment history.
• Frontline SIA licence (DS or SG).
• Valid UK driving licence.
• CSCS card required; support to obtain available.
• Experience in customer service and conflict management.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Smart appearance and reliable.
• Flexible to meet job requirements.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Protect client property, people and assets per site AI’s and procedures.
• Manage site access and log vehicles; gatehouse duties.
• Conduct regular site patrols using company vehicle; monitor activity.
• Respond to security incidents and escalate appropriately.
• Complete accurate reports and records of observations.
• Provide professional and friendly service to visitors and staff.
• Maintain CCTV operations and ensure logs are up to date.
