Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a Security Officer to protect people, property and assets while delivering excellent customer service. You will patrol the site, monitor CCTV and alarms, control access, issue passes and manage keys to keep the environment safe and secure.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal and external patrols as detailed in procedures.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems for anomalies and threats.
• Control site access and issue visitor passes.
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties.
• Maintain logbooks and records accurately.
• Support traffic and parking management on site.
• Perform routine equipment checks and respond to incidents.
• Provide assistance and information to staff, visitors and contractors.

Job description

As a Security Officer, you will play a key role in protecting people, property, and assets while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Working in line with site procedures and customer requirements, you will maintain a safe and secure environment, demonstrating the highest standards of integrity, vigilance, and professionalism at all times. The role as a Security Officer includes conducting internal and external patrols, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, controlling site access, issuing visitor passes, managing keys, and carrying out locking and unlocking duties. You will also maintain accurate records, support traffic and parking management, perform routine equipment checks, and respond appropriately to security incidents, lost property, and other site-related issues. This isn't just another job. • Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
• Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises
