Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time role at a client site in Reading.

You will maintain a professional presence, welcome visitors, issue and manage ID badges, and operate CCTV, alarm systems, IT systems and access controls to protect people and property. Key duties include monitoring for suspicious activity, recording and escalating incidents to the Account Manager, and keeping incidents under control until emergency services arrive.

Qualifications

• SIA licence and security knowledge are essential.
• Experience in safeguarding clients and visitors is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional presence, be approachable and trustworthy.
• Welcome clients and visitors; issue and manage ID badges.
• Operate CCTV, alarms, access control, phones and IT systems.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and potential criminal behaviour.
• Record, report and escalate incidents to the Account Manager.
• Maintain control of incidents until emergency services arrive.
