Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Security Relief Officer to support sites across Winchester, Basingstoke and Andover. This part-time role requires flexible shifts and a strong commitment to safety and service. You will greet visitors, manage ID badges, operate phones and IT systems, monitor CCTV and alarms, and coordinate with security teams to handle incidents.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence - (Door Supervision or Security Guarding) – Essential
• Understanding of Health and Safety at Work Act, Criminal and Civil Law, Police and Criminal Evidence Act

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional presence: determined, trustworthy, attentive, and approachable
• Welcome clients and visitors warmly; issue and manage ID badges
• Operate phones, emails, IT systems, CCTV, alarm systems, and access control
• Monitor and respond to suspicious activity and potential criminal behaviour
• Maintain control of incidents until emergency services arrive
• Record, report, and escalate incidents to the Account Manager
