Job summary

Securitas UK in Hounslow is hiring a Security Officer to protect people, property and assets while delivering excellent customer service. You’ll patrol, monitor CCTV and alarms, control site access and respond to incidents.

From day one you’ll access learning and development, mentorship and a range of benefits, including discounts and community initiatives, with progression support from a values-driven team. This role requires night shifts, weekend work and 42 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence required.
• Flexibility to work nights & weekends.
• Experience in security, facilities or customer service environments.
• Basic IT skills and ability to use access control, CCTV and incident management systems.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to respond to security incidents promptly.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety through regular patrols, monitor CCTV and alarms.
• Manage visitor and contractor access.
• Carry out routine equipment checks and lock/unlock duties as detailed.
• Maintain all logbooks and records as required.
• Respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.
• Support traffic and parking management where needed.
• Provide guidance and information to staff, visitors and contractors.

Pay: £15.30 per hour
Hours: 42 hours per week: Working 4 on, 4 off, nights only, including weekends & bank holidays nights

Join our team as a Security Officer and play a vital role in protecting people, property, and assets while delivering exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through regular patrols, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, controlling site access, and responding to security incidents. A proactive and professional approach is essential, with a strong commitment to integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness

In this role as a Security Officer, you will manage visitor and contractor access, carry out routine equipment checks, support traffic and parking management, and maintain accurate security records and logs. You will also assist with key management, locking and unlocking procedures, and ensure all security processes are followed in line with site instructions.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
• Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises
