Job summary

ABM in Falkirk is seeking a proactive Security Officer with a customer-service focus to maintain a safe shopping environment. A valid SIAD/SGL licence is required and duties include patrols, incident response, and contractor supervision.

The role covers shifts with 37 hours per week, 9:00–17:00 and 16:00–00:00, at Central Retail Park Falkirk. You will work as part of a team and individually as needed to ensure safety and quality service.

Qualifications

• SIA Door Supervisor licence required.
• Ability to patrol and monitor for loss prevention and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry periodic duties as outlined in site instructions.
• Be present on the park to maintain a safe environment.
• Conduct patrols across the retail park and service areas.
• Respond to emergencies including first aid and fire wardening.
• Oversee external contractor safety practices.

SHIFT PATTERN: 6 ON 3 OFF, 37 HOURS PER WEEK

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

We are looking to appoint a proactive Security Officer with customer service at the forefront of all they do to maintain a safe and secure shopping environment for all our customers and team. SIAD/SGL licence required.

JOB SPEC

• Carry periodic duties as outlined in the site Assignment Instructions
• Be present on the park to ensure a safe and secure environment is maintained
• Conduct patrols covering all areas of the retail park and service areas
• Take an active role in emergency situations including first aid and fire warden
• Oversee external contractor management to ensure safe working practices

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Enjoy working part of a team as well as the ability to work independently to reach the shared goal
• Good communication skills both written and verbal to assist with accurate report writing
• Excellent time management
• Smart, well‑groomed and confident
• Conflict management aware
• High level of customer care awareness
• Familiar with patrolling and monitoring from both a loss prevention aspect and health & safety
• SIA Door Supervisor/Security Guard licence
