Job summary

Squire Group in Loughborough is seeking a Security Officer on a part-time basis to cover Nottingham and Leicester. You’ll be based around Loughborough, travel to client sites, and perform keyholding, alarm response, and guarding duties.

The role offers flexible shifts (4, 6, 8, or 12 hours), days, nights and weekends. A valid SIA licence, UK driving licence, and live within easy reach of Loughborough are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor).
• Full UK driving licence and your own vehicle (essential for mobile work).
• Live within easy reach of Loughborough.
• Pass BS 7858 security screening, including a 5-year employment history check.
• Good written English for reports and incident logs.
• Calm, dependable and smart in appearance, with good customer service skills.
• Experience in mobile patrol, keyholding or concierge work is helpful, but we’ll train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Keyholding and alarm response: attending alarm activations, checking premises and securing them, meeting emergency services and engineers on site.
• Manned guarding: static and patrol duties, access control, incident reporting.
• Concierge and front-of-house: greeting visitors, handling deliveries and giving a professional first impression.
• Keeping clear, accurate records of every visit and incident.

Squire Group is an NSI Gold accredited security and fire safety provider working with clients across the UK. Our guarding team looks after retail, commercial, healthcare and residential sites. We're growing in the East Midlands and want a reliable, professional officer to join the team.

The role

You’ll be based around Loughborough and travel to client sites in Nottingham and Leicester. No two shifts are the same. Duties include:

Shifts

Part-time, with shifts of 4, 6, 8 or 12 hours. Days, nights and weekends are available, and you can choose shifts that fit around your other commitments.

What we’re looking for
